Robert “Bob” Eugene Ring
Corinth – Robert Eugene Ring, 76, passed away January 9, 2023, at his residence. He was born August 2, 1946, in Lebanon, NH, son of Eugene David Ring and Sybil Eunice (Wallace) Ring.
Bob graduated from Hartford High School in 1965. During his career, Bob wore many hats. He worked in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit in VT, was a Law Enforcement Officer in NH, a Constable with Dartmouth College, a Volunteer Firefighter in VT, a licensed EMT Instructor, and a Manager at the Night Owl in Hampden. Bob worked for the US Postal Service from 1986-2002 when he retired.
Bob was very proud of his 53 years as a Master Mason. He was raised up at Lodge in VT by his grandfather, Robert Martin Wallace. Bob then moved to Maine and transferred to Bangor, Me lodges, finally settling at the Mystic Lodge in Hampden where he felt at home. Bob made many friends and Brothers at this lodge. Special thanks to his Brother and special neighbor, Jeffrey Spinney, who took him to Lodge and special events as well as he and his wife Paula looking out for him and Charlene at home. Bob was also a proud member of Penobscot Valley Acres in Charleston since the 1980’s where he made a lot of friends.
Bob leaves behind his love of 18 years, Charlene Whalen, and his children, son Thomas Ring, and his wife JoAnn and grandsons, Benjamin and Carson of Hyde Park, VT and his son, Timothy Ring of VT. Bob also leaves behind his stepson, David Gilbert Jr, and his wife Linnette of Kenduskeag, their daughter, Natasha Ramp and her husband Gregory, and their children, Dixie, and Tucker of Hudson. Stepdaughter, Michelle Cowperthwaite and her husband Corey and grandson Mikey of Corinth. Bob was predeceased by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at the Anah Shrine Hall at 1404 Broadway, by Bangor on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 1:00 with a full Masonic service with bagpipes.
