Obituary for Robert T. Perkins
ORONO- Robert T. Perkins, 63, passed away peacefully January 21, 2023, at his home. He was born January 29, 1959, in Bangor, the son of Lawrence and Ruth (Morrison) Perkins.
Robert grew up in Delaware, but spent his summers in Orono, "Hog Town", Maine. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a lifelong member of the NRA, and the United Bikers of Maine. He was also a member of the NAOSHA heating and oil association. Robert married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Ross. They were married almost forty-five years, and raised their son, Reis, and owned and operated Golden Heat, serving their local community.
Surviving, in addition to his loving and devoted wife and son, are his brothers, Goldie Perkins and his wife, Mary-Ann and Ricky Perkins; sisters, Gail Perkins and Wendy O'Connor; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving grandparents, Golden "Buster" Perkins and his wife, Regina.
In keeping with Robert's wishes, services will be private. Those who wish to remember Robert in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Momentum North Special Olympics, 450 Essex Street, Bangor 04401, (ATTN: Hannah), in honor of his son.
