Paula Marie (Dinsmore) Gilbert, 75, died peacefully at a Bangor hospital, September 28, 2022. She was born October 13, 1946, in Bangor, the daughter of Vernon and Annie (Witherly) Dinsmore.
Paula graduated from Brewer High School in 1964. She lived and worked in the Bangor/Brewer area all her life in the secretarial and service industry. Paula enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sister and best friend, Sandra Patterson of Veazie; son, Mark Gilbert and his wife, Sherry of Hudson, daughter, Kathy Lea and her husband, James “Michael” of Milford, Delaware; 4 grandchildren, Jessica Morris and her husband, Christopher of Bangor, Christopher and his wife, Tanisha of Hudson, Connor Lea and Kelce Lea of Milford, Delaware; 3 great grandchildren, Easton Gilbert, Sirena Gilbert, and Elijah Gilbert; brother-in-law, Kenneth Gilbert and wife, Patricia of Orrington. She also leaves behind special friends, Charlene Whalen, Tom and Heidi Clark, Karen Walker, and Sally Page. She was predeceased by her parents; former husband and father of her children, James Gilbert; longtime companion, Norman Hasey; and her beloved canine fur baby, Tasha.
