Obituary for Matthew A. Kelley
BANGOR - Matthew A. Kelley, 33, passed away December 10, 2021, after a brief illiness at home surrounded by loved ones. Matthew was born May 6, 1988, in Bangor, the son of Kenneth W. (predeceased) and Deborah S. Kelley, of Bangor.
Matthew graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 2007. He was very active in sports; from baseball to snowboarding with his friends and family. Matthew had a heart of gold and was always putting others first. All that knew Matt knew his love of animals. He had many during his lifetime; always bringing a new one home to care for.
Matthew worked as a DSP with adults with disabilities. His kindness and support was seen in their smiles and laughter when he was with them. The last year of his life, he was blessed with the birth of his daughter, Katie Mae, whom he loved with all his heart.
Surviving, are his mother, Deb Kelley, of Bangor; brother, Joshua Kelley, of Brewer; grandfather, Jack MacLeod, of Milo; a special aunt, Linda Fowler, of Glenburn; the love of his life, Lia Kelley, of Bangor; and precious daughter, Katie Mae Kelley, of Bangor; special children, Hayden, Jason and Arianna, of Orrington; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
