Obituary for Mason Dorcy
NEWBURGH - Mason, 23, died unexpectedly in Bangor, Maine. Mason was born June 24, 1998, in San Diego, California, to Diane Demarest and Michael Dorcy.
Mason graduated from Hampden Academy, Class of 2017. Since then, Mason had been actively involved with photography, and drawing. Mason’s favorite activities centered around animals and plants, as well as spending time with Julian, Mason’s boyfriend of 2 years.
Mason is survived by Mason’s parents, Diane and her husband, Jeff; father, Michael Dorcy; sister, Kayla Dorcy; brother, Andrew; Mason’s pets, Holly, Bunny Bunny, turtle, and various farm animals; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents on both sides.
Mason was predeceased by Adrian, Mason’s beloved chihuahua of 14 years; great-grandfather, Gifford; grandfathers, Sylvio and Bill; uncle, Allen; aunt, Kristen; and cousins, Wilder and Dustin.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., April 3, 2022, at the Hampden VFW, located at 41 Canoe Club Road, Hampden, for family and friends. All are welcome after 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. if they wish to say goodbye or share a memory.
Those wishing to remember Mason in a special way, may make gifts in Mason’s memory to the Furry Friend Food Bank at (207-941-2865) 240 State St., Brewer, ME 04412. Mason loved animals very much and we can honor Mason by making it easier for seniors in the area to provide for their beloved furry companions.
