Obituary for Charlene Harriet Luce (McTaggart)
BANGOR- Charlene McTaggart Luce passed away on February 24, 2023 to join her beloved husband, Roger, and their daughter, Lynne Marie. Charlene was the daughter of Robert and Doris McTaggart of Rome, Maine.
Charlene graduated from Williams High School in Oakland and the Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in Yonkers, New York, the New England Medical Center in Boston, and the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Charlene loved her devoted husband of 54 years, deceased in 2011, and their only child and the love of their life, Lynne Marie, deceased in 2007.
Charlene liked knitting, sewing, sudoku, crafts, reading, the computer, and being a friend to all.
She was predeceased by her parents; her only sister, Margaret Rackleff, in 2007; brother, Robert McTaggart, in 2021. Her caregivers would like to thank Cindi M., Trish C., and David G., from NLEMMC Hospice for their compassionate support during this challenging journey, and special neighbor ‘Skip’.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, in the Spring of 2023. In lieu of donations, to honor her memory please visit and talk with an elderly friend, relative, or neighbor and engage them with their stories and memories.
